Pan Head De-Icing

Product Description

Heating the Pan Head to remove accumulated ice helps maintain the counter balance tension on the Pantograph. This is important for two reasons:

Prevents bouncing of the Pantograph against the Contact Wire minimizing electrical surges and transients which yield intermittents.

Prevents resulting damage to the carbon strip and contact wire.

Pan Head De-Icing pays for itself by extending the life of the Carbon Strip, Pantograph and Contact/Trolley Wire.
